Following the symposium, a workshop was held at the Technology Mezzanine (TechMezz) featuring three engaging sessions that showcased the integration of advanced technologies in medical education to the delegates from the China Consortium of Elite Teaching Hospitals:
Prof Gary Lau, along with MBBS students Jason Chan and Kelvin Cheng, demonstrated the KASES (Knowledge and Simulation Education System) Chatbot, showing its capability in training students’ clinical reasoning and communication skills.
Prof Pauline Yeung presented Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) techniques, highlighting their practical applications as tomorrow’s stethoscope in clinical settings.
Dr Jian Yang showcased Virtual Reality (VR) and the Anatomage Table, illustrating their potential to revolutionize anatomy education.
The workshop successfully highlighted the role of technology in transforming medical education, fostering an environment where students can learn effectively and prepare for future challenges in healthcare.
